One person injured in Kelowna structure fire

A fire at a building in Kelowna this morning was quickly extinguished, but one person was injured.

Kelowna Fire Department responded to a report of a fire in a structure in the 100-block of Kneller Rd. around 10 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 30.

Fire crews quickly extinguished the flames, which were contained to one unit, though other units sustained water damage from the sprinklers and fire suppression efforts.

The fire department said one person was taken to hospital with unknown injuries.

Emergency Support Services also responded to the scene and was assisting an unknown number of people who had been displaced.
