Flood Concerns Subside in Spallumcheen

Jun 1, 2017 | 10:51 AM

Flooding concerns have eased in Spallumcheen.

While more incidents could come up, the township has stood down its Emergency Operations Centre.

The municipality says it’s submitted a plan to move into the next steps of it recovery, and will be deciding what infrastructure needs to be replaced or improved.

City administration says there was some flooding and a landslide on Demorest Road in Spallumcheen over the last few weeks, but no one had to be evacuated.
