Noise Warning From Generator

May 30, 2017 | 1:08 PM

Residents living near the Vernon Recreation Centre are being advised to expect more noise than normal.

The City says planned electrical upgrades at the facility will require the temporary use of a generator from June 5 to 9.

The generator will be located on the south end of the curling rink.

Recreation Services Director Doug Ross says it will need to run during the day and through the night to keep the facility operational.

“The noise level is hard to quantify, but I am checking on that,” Ross tells Kiss FM.

Ross says residents on 35th Avenue have been hand delivered notices of the issue.
