Wildfire near Peachland brought under control Sunday

The perimeter of the Spring Lake wildfire is not expected to expand beyond its current borders.

The B.C. Wildfire service stated the wildfire located west of Peachland was considered Under Control as of 7:33 p.m. Sunday, July 14.

The wildfire that sparked July 10 and burned approximated 2.6 hectares of terrain is suspected of being caused by human activity.

The latest BCWS update noted there was still an initial attack crew and an Indigenous initial response crew assigned to the Spring Lake Fire, accounting for a total of 11 personnel.
