150 hectare wildfire sparked near Lillooet

The Kamloops Fire Centre’s largest wildfire of the season so far has ignited in the north-west corner of the region.
The B.C. Wildfire Service reported that an estimated 151 hectare wildfire was discovered north of Lillooet along Highway 12 Monday, June 24.
As of Tuesday, June 25, the fire was classified as out of control, with B.C. Wildfire Service (BCWS) stating there was four initial attack crews, one unit crew, two response officers and four helicopters responding to the blaze.
The fire is suspected of being caused by human activity.
