Police update Vernon crash

RCMP say on May 15 at around 3 p.m., officers with the Vernon North Okanagan RCMP responded to a single vehicle collision in the 1000 block of Pottery Road in Vernon.

The vehicle went off road right at a slow speed into a ditch.

The 71- year-old driver was uninjured; however they may have experienced a medical issue and was attended to by the BC Ambulance Service.

The collision resulted in minor damages to the car and the passenger was uninjured.

First responders were on the scene of a crash in the Vernon area this afternoon (May 15).

Dispatch reports say a vehicle went off Pottery Road in the 1000-block and rolled just before 3 p.m., with one person taken for treatment by BC Ambulance.

“BC Emergency Health Services says it one of its primary care paramedic ambulances and another advanced care paramedic response unit attended the scene.

“Paramedics provided emergency medical care and transported two patients to hospital,” Paramedic Public Information Officer Brian Twaites said.

BCEHS did not release any information on the status of the patients or their injuries.
