Vernon School District Budget Final Approval

With the school year winding down, Vernon School trustees had a light night at their meeting this week.

Chair Kelly Smith says the 97 and a half million dollar budget for 2017 – 2018 had its third reading.

” And that went through easily because there had been no changes between this meeting and the previous one”

The board also approved a new roof for Fulton Secondary, a replacement school bus and credit courses for a new rowing academy.

“They will go to their regular schools and they will take their courses and they will have time out at the rowing club on Swan Lake together.”

Students from grades 10 will be able to apply for the academy.
