Vernon will be down to just one walk-in clinic by this fall.
The clinic at the Vernon Superstore has announced it will close its doors Sept. 30 due to lack of doctors, which will leave the Sterling Centre on 25th Avenue as the lone walk-in facility.
Interior Health admits the pending closure of the Primacy North Okanagan Clinic, is concerning for patients.
“We recognize North Okanagan Medical Clinic’s upcoming closure is concerning for patients and are working collaboratively with the Shuswap North Okanagan Division of Family Practice and community partners to support primary care services in Vernon,” the health agency said in a statement.
