RCMP continue to investigate the case of arson fire that destroyed the provincial courthouse in the B.C. town of Golden earlier this week.

Police say they still are not able to confirm a motive or if any suspects have been identified in Monday’s (Mar. 13) blaze which injured a Golden firefighter.

“What we can say is that all necessary resources are actively working to advance the investigation,” Cpl. James Grandy said.

Grandy said forensic and general investigative sections of the BC RCMP are being assisted by the Golden Fire Department’s investigator, along with a government fire service advisor.

An interim provincial court registry and Service BC site has been set up at the Ministry of Children and Family Development office at 1104 9th Street South in Golden.

Investigators are appealing to the public to provide any information they may have by contacting Golden RCMP at 250-344-2221.
