Crash on Highway 5 claims three lives

Three people are dead and another two are fighting for their lives after a crash near Clearwater.

According to a news release issued by B.C. Highway Patrol, the collision took place just before 11:00 a.m. Wednesday (Mar. 1), on Highway 5 between Clearwater and Little Fort.

Const. James Ward says three vehicles were involved in the crash. Ward says three people were killed and two are in critical condition.

The highway is closed in both directions. Motorists are advised to expect significant delays in the area as the scene is investigated.
