Vernon/Coldstream’s vaccine rates relatively flat on week-to-week basis
The COVID-19 vaccination rates for the Vernon/Coldstream health area increased by a slim margin over the past week.
The B.C. Centre for Disease Control (BCCDC) data on vaccination rates from Monday, Feb. 7, showed the area’s first-dose rates for children aged five to 11 rose just one point from the week prior to 46 per cent.
While that rate is above the 43 per cent recorded for the same age group in the Interior, it is below the provincial rate of 54 per cent.
Okanagan Mission continued to lead the Interior with vaccinations for that age group at 60 per cent, while Kettle Valley recorded the lowest rate at 21 per cent.
