Interior records one COVID-19 death as cases continue to climb
Interior Health has now seen 307 people die as a result of COVID-19.
The increase came as one death was reported in the region Wednesday. It was among the 13 throughout B.C., bringing the provincial COVID-19 death-toll to 2,505.
Active cases in the Interior also rose to 5,769 Wednesday, as 550 new infections were identified by the health authority.
The cases were part of 2,387 recorded province-wide (increase of 412 from Tuesday), bringing B.C.’s active case count to 35,770.
