Workshops help people learn how to use smart phones and other devices
People needing support learning how to use their smart phones and tablets will be able to get some help.
The Literacy Society of the North Okanagan is running several free workshops to help people learn the basics of their devices.
Elizabeth Eckert, the coordinator facilitator for the Digital Literacy program at the Literacy Society, told Vernon Matters that their basic workshops that will run in January and February really means the basics.
“You can come with a device that you have not been able to turn on yet, so we will discuss turning on and off the devices right to setting up Wi-Fi; finding your camera and taking some photos; setting up an email; using some of your other apps such as calendar, which is really awesome for booking those appointments you have,” said Eckert.
