The RCMP’s investigation into a sudden death in downtown Vernon has had an impact on services provided by the Salvation Army – at least in the short term.
Neil Thompson, Auxiliary-Lieutenant with the agency, tells Vernon Matters they have closed the food bank and House of Hope for today to allow space for the ongoing investigation.
“Our expectation is that we will resume regular operations tomorrow (Jan. 6),” said Thompson..
Thompson said they have no information at all on the overnight incident.
