United Way British Columbia is running the 20th Annual North Okanagan Drive-Thru Breakfast at the Prestige Vernon Lodge on Thursday, Oct. 7.

People can visit the drive-thru between 6:30 a.m. to 9 a.m., make a donation, and receive a breakfast bag loaded with Tim Horton treats, breakfast foods, coffee and drinks, coupons, and potentially a grand prize.

One of the bags will contain a ‘Golden Ticket’ of $1,000 to invest with Valley First.

People will have until 3 p.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 6, to pre-order their bags at a cost of $20 each.

The bags are valued at $50, and the United Way suggests people make a minimum donation of $20 when picking up their breakfasts.

The money raised will support approximately 20 local charities and initiatives that serve the needs of vulnerable children, youth, families and seniors in the region.

The United Way wants to raise $25,000 through the Drive-Thru Breakfast event, and, as of time of publication, they had already raised $7,191 through pre-orders.
