Oktoblerfest ready to launch in Vernon

Organizers say ticket sales are picking up for Vernon’s first-ever Oktoblerfest.

The event will be held Oct. 7-10 and will feature beer, food and wine, a presentation of Okanagan Spring Brewery and Wings Vernon.

The event honours the Vernon-based brewery that got its start in 1985, along with co-founder Jakob Tobler and his family.

Organizers say the most popular ticket has been the VIP pass. A recent addition is the “event pass” where people can join the celebration at no charge if they dress up.
