Vernon’s Towne Theatre will host the 2021 TV Fest Sept. 24 and 25, which will feature some home-grown talent.

The event showcases projects meant to impress on the small screen in order to help bridge the gap between new content makers and the entertainment industry.

One of the award winners is Timberwood, a television pilot, that involves Ian Fisher of Vernon as a writer and actor.

Timberwood, which won the award for Best TV Pilot and runner-up for Best Comedy, was co-written by Fisher and AJ Vaage. The comedy also features Fisher and Vaage as camp counsellors.
