Allan Brooks Nature Centre’s Mega Garage Sale set for this weekend

Furniture and home decor, housewares, camping gear, books, toys and more will be for sale at the Mega Garage Sale.

The annual fundraiser for the Allan Brooks Nature Centre (ABNC) begins on Friday, Sept. 17, and runs through Sunday. Items will be for sale between 8 a.m. and 3 p.m. on both Friday and Saturday, and from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Sunday.

The Mega Garage Sale will be held mainly under tents outdoors and within a few buildings on site, and will be going on through the weekend, rain or shine. The indoor capacity will be limited to 100 people and people in attendance will be required to wear masks indoors. The ABNC’s website reminds visitors to always follow COVID-19 regulations, which also include frequent hand washing and sanitizing, and following social distancing guidelines.

The Nature Centre says that while this will mainly be a traditional, in-person garage sale, there will be a limited number of items sold online at the ABNC’s Facebook page.
