Gas bar customers show support for wildfire relief

They gassed up their vehicles — and they helped-out other B.C. residents in need.

Throughout the month of August, the Armstrong Regional Co-op was accepting donations from customers at its gas bars in Vernon, Armstrong and Salmon Arm in support of the Canadian Red Cross wildfire relief efforts in B.C.

The Armstrong Regional Co-op matched all customer donations, and Federated Cooperatives Limited matched the Armstrong Regional Co-op’s donation.

“In total we’re proud to say $8,844.13 will be donated to the Canadian Red Cross wildfire relief. Thank you to all of our members and customers for stepping up to support our community and our neighbours,” said Jason Keis, marketing and sales manager with Armstrong Regional Cooperative.
