Nominees for Business Excellence Awards announced

The nominees have been announced for the 37th annual Greater Vernon Chamber Business Excellence Awards presented by MNP.

From July 19 to Aug. 23, Greater Vernon residents submitted 389 nominations for businesses, non-profits and individuals in 15 categories.

“Residents were thoughtful with each submission and we thank them for their participation in the process. The diversity of the nominees speaks to a strong entrepreneurial spirit and commitment to the community,” said Dan Proulx, Greater Vernon Chamber general manager.

The nominees were then asked to complete a form to qualify for their category. The full list of nominees can be found at here.

“Our panel of judges now has the difficult job of reviewing all of the completed nomination packages. We are excited to see the outcome in each category and to celebrate all nominees as well as the winners,” said Proulx.

Greater Vernon residents will also continue to be involved as they can vote for the People’s Choice Award starting Sept. 13 on the Chamber website.

All nominees in the 15 categories are eligible for the People’s Choice.

On Oct. 29, the winners in each category will be unveiled at the Business Excellence Awards celebration. More details will be available soon on the Chamber website.
