Parking reservations and pass limit won’t be back for SilverStar’s new season

SilverStar Mountain Resort is planning on having a more “normal’ 2021/22 winter season, now that COVID-19 cases are declining in B.C and vaccinations are increasing.

Two of the restrictions facing visitors last season are not expected to be back this fall.

“We are excited to announce there will be no parking reservations, and as of today, June 15, there is no cap on season passes,” Chantelle Deacon, media relations manager, said.

The Vernon-area resort launched its early-bird My1Pass to the public on Tuesday (June 15).

“It’s that time of year to purchase your season pass. With COVID-19 numbers going down and a more vaccinated population we are hopeful that this season can look a little more normal,” Deacon said.

Deacon said they encourage anyone who wants a pass to purchase them at the current early-bird pricing or take advantage of the payment plan and avoid disappointment if circumstances are to change.

“Like previous years, pass holders can take advantage of SilverStar’s interest-free payment plans and split their My1Pass into six easy payments. The interest-free payment plan is also available for family passes,” Deacon explained.

New this year the mountain has introduced the SilverStar 4Pack, which features any four days throughout the season, no blackouts and guests never pay full price for their day tickets.

“We are thrilled to launch this new product,” Deacon exclaimed. “It’s a great opportunity for those who are new to skiing and riding or aren’t quite ready to commit to a season pass. The 4Pack is a great way to explore everything SilverStar has to offer.”

The resort will continue to follow all health and safety protocols from the province and Interior Health.
