Nordic skiers hitting the trails thanks to snowfall

There is at least one positive about all the recent snow in the Vernon area: it’s allowed the cross country ski season to get underway.

The Sovereign Lake Nordic Club has opened today (Nov. 13), but for the first few days it’s just for season pass holders.

The facility is reporting 23 centimetres of new snow since Thursday night.

Day ticket holders will be welcomed as of Monday, Nov. 16.

People have to book day tickets online this season due to COVID-19 guidelines.
