Six RCMP officers injured on the job in B.C.’s Interior
Six RCMP officers have recently been injured in various incidents in B.C.’s Interior while arresting what Mounties are calling “volatile individuals.”
RCMP say the injuries began in Grand Forks on Oct. 3, when a 35-year-old intoxicated man allegedly forced an officer to the ground, continued assaulting him and escaped, leaving the officer with non-life-threatening injuries.
Three days later, police in Salmon Arm say a man who damaged property during a mental health crisis suddenly lunged at two responding officers who used a conducted energy weapon to subdue him after one of the officers sustained a broken arm.
