Boil Water Notice For Part of Enderby

Apr 12, 2017 | 2:25 PM

A boil water notice remains in effect for about 50 homes in Enderby after a water main break yesterday.

The break happened where the water line crosses the Shuswap River, and only affects customers east of the Enderby Bridge.

A dive team went in last evening to make a temporary repair.

But the homes are still without treated water, which means the advisory has to stay up for now.

There’s no word on what caused the break.

Residents affected are reminded all water should be brought to a rolling boil for 3 minutes and then cooled before it is consumed. This includes water used for washing produce, making ice, and brushing teeth.
