Pedestrian hit by commercial truck

An adult male pedestrian sustained serious injuries after after being struck by a commercial vehicle in Kelowna Thursday morning.

RCMP say the incident happened in the 500-block of Harvey Avenue around 6:50 a.m., and the investigation is in the early stages.

“The driver of the commercial vehicle remained on scene and is cooperating with the investigation,” said Cpl. Jocelyn Noseworthy, media relations officer.

Any witnesses to the collision who have not yet spoken to police, are encouraged to contact Kelowna RCMP at 250-762-3300.
