UPDATE: Weather scuttles Snowbirds fly over Okanagan
UPDATE
Rain and low visibility in the Okanagan resulted in the Canadian Forces Snowbirds to abort their planned pass over the valley Sunday morning.
The team of nine jets was supposed to fly over the area on a trip from Kamloops to Princeton, to Penticton, Vernon and to land in Kelowna between 10 and 11 a.m., but around 7:30 a.m., the team tweeted the rain and cloud conditions had them “looking at their opti0ns,” which was eventually to chart a new course and to fly to Comox.
OKANAGAN: We know some areas are starting to clear up, however transit through some of the mountain passes have very low cloud cover which is unsafe for flying 9 jets. We are going to preposition to Comox to start working our way west.
