Apr 16, 2020 | 12:25 PM

A Vernon-based support group is providing assistance to residents during the COVID-19 pandemic.

The Emily Dahl Foundation was founded in 2019 by a fellowship of Emily Dahl’s family and friends.

“We at The Emily Dahl Foundation are deeply concerned for the welfare of the Vernon community and the for all humanity during the current difficult world situation. Above all, we want to encourage you to turn within to the unfailing inner source of protection and reassurance. The Emily Dahl Foundation will focus on online resources to aid you in your efforts to do just that at this or any other time of need,” said a news release from the foundation.

The Eckhart Tolle Foundation is providing complimentary copies of “The Power of Now” by Eckhart Tolle.

“This is an excellent guide to a spiritual enlightenment that will help you strengthen your inner source of protection and reassurance,” said Sherman Dahl, co-founder of the foundation.

“I reached out to the Eckhart Tolle Foundation a number of months ago as I was truly enjoying his teachings and spending a ton of time watching his lectures and reading his books,” Dahl added. “Eckhart truly touches on the importance of recognizing your inner strength and the power of now, which is key to managing negative emotions, and a key goal of The Emily Dahl Foundation.  Leah Fleming at Eckharts foundation was fantastic and met me personally in Vancouver and we had a great visit and that resulted in a partnership and friendship immediately.  ”

A complementary copy can be sent to you by emailing your details to The Emily Dahl Foundation, attention Kristina Tobler (kristina@emilydahlfoundation.com), or by contacting Sherman Dahl at 250-558-8340.
