RCMP investigation underway after body found in river

KAMLOOPS – RCMP are investigating the discovery of a body in the North Thompson river Thursday.

Police were alerted to the body in the river near the northern outskirts of the city late Thursday afternoon. The body has been identified as 37-year-old Brandon Thomas Malkinson.

While there is no indication of foul play in the case, police are trying to determine the whereabouts of Malkinson in the hours and days leading up to the discovery of his body.

RCMP investigators are asking anyone who had contact with Malkinson since March 25^th, to contact the RCMP detachment in Kamloops at 250 828-3000.
