Drivers are liking one aspect of the COVID-19 crisis — lower gas prices.

Most Vernon gas stations are selling for 99.9 cents a litre as of 3 p.m. Tuesday, but several have dropped to 94.9 cents, including Canadian Tire and Co-op, according to gasbuddy.com.

Kelowna stations are mostly at 99.9 cents a litre with the Canadian Tire on Highway 97 down to 94.9.

Lake Country ranges from 99.9 to $1.09, while in Enderby, drivers are paying 98.9.

Kamloops always seems to have lower prices, with outlets there ranging from 87 to 92.9 cents a litre.

Elsewhere in B.C., the lowest prices are in Prince George, at 73.9 cents a litre at a Costco, and 77.9 at other outlets in the city.

Vancouver’s prices range from $1.02.9 to $1.05.9 a litre.

The price drop is a result of falling oil prices and less demand, as home-bound residents aren’t driving as much due to the COVID-19 restrictions.
