Vernon Vipers forward Dawson Holt has been named the Subway BCHL Player of the Week for the week ending Mar. 8.

The 21-year-old from Saskatoon, Sask. registered two goals and seven assists for nine points in three games last week, helping the Vipers to a 4-1 series win over the Wenatchee Wild.

On Tuesday, Holt contributed three assists, including two with the man advantage, as Vernon topped Wenatchee 4-2 in Game 3. He was named the game’s second star.

The following night, he was even more productive, netting two goals and adding three helpers for his first-career five-point night in the BCHL, en route to a 6-4 Vipers win. He was named first star of the game.

He capped his week with one assist in Friday’s 8-3 series-clinching win in Wenatchee.

Holt’s nine postseason points tie him for third in playoff scoring, just one back of the league lead.

Vipers forwards Connor Marritt and Cameron MacDonald received honourable mentions.
