Enderby Prepares Budget For Review
Enderby City councillors have taken hard look at the city’s proposed budget.
Mayor Greg McCune says they tweaked it a little bit making some minor changes after going through a wish list.
” Everytime we added one of those wish lists we
saw the effect of it, what it would be on the budget and a lot of them didn’t go forward for numerous reasons. ”
McCune says another half per cent was added to protection services.
” You know we have to fund our fire department X amount every year just to maintain and it was projected to fund a little bit more but I think we did about two-thirds of it.”
Upgrading Salmon Arm Drive will also add some costs.
Overall, the budget could see about a 2 per cent increase.
It will go the next council meeting April 18th, which is open to the public.
McCune says he expects the budget to be adopted in early May.
