Chemical Issue Shuts Down Pool

The Aquatic Centre at the Vernon Recreation Centre is closed today due to a chemical imbalance in the pool.

“The combined chlorine levels in the pool are not suitable for public use and staff are working to bring the system back to balance,” says a city news release.

The pool could potentially be closed for the remainder of the day, and staff hope to reopen it Saturday.
