Grand opening for new transit exchange at mall

Three years after they were moved, bus stops have now returned to the Village Green Shopping Centre.
The stops were moved to 48th Avenue in 2016 in response to safety concerns, but that made it difficult for people with mobility issues to access the mall, especially in the winter.
Even more than just bus stop, a new transit exchange at the mall with four new bus stops and two new shelters, will officially be opened at a city and transit ceremony at 11 this morning.
Vernon Mayor Victor Cumming will be joined by mall and transit officials to open the new facilities.
