Man’s Death Was Homicide

RCMP have confirmed the death of a Vernon man found dead last week near Silver Star Road, is being investigated as a homicide.

The body of 26 year old Dustin Josef Rogers was found near the intersection of Wilson Jackson Road and Jordashe Road last Thursday morning.

“RCMP’s South East District major crime unit investigators are continuing their investigation into the man’s death and are piecing together a timeline of Roger`s activities, on the days prior to his body being discovered,” says Cpl Dan Moskaluk.

Moskaluk was not aware if the cause of death has been determined, and couldn’t say if it was gang related as some media reports have suggested.

“What we have confirmed is that this is a homicide and we’re dealing with a murder investigation,” Moskaluk tells Kiss FM.
