A Vernon man facing charges of robbing the same business three times, will be back in in court next week for a bail hearing.

Fifty-one -year-old Perry Mathew Childs has been in custody since Monday night after he was arrested in connection with a robbery at the Subway in the Fruit Union Plaza.

A man with a butcher knife entered the restaurant around 10 p.m. Oct. 28 and demanded money from the staff who were able to flee the store, with the help of a security guard.

Police were able to arrest a suspect at a nearby residence with the help of the security person and witnesses.

Childs is facing eight charges in total, including two other robberies at that Subway, one charge of assault with a weapon, and three charges of disguising his face with intent to commit an offence.

His bail hearing to determine if he remains in custody, is set for Nov. 7 in provincial court.
