Marritt Scores Home Opener

VERNON – Vernon Viper Captain Connor Marritt scored the first goal of the game in the team’s home opener against the Victoria Grizzlies. It was Marritt’s 2nd goal of the season coming just a few minutes into the opening period. However that was all the scoring for the Snakes with the Vipers losing 5-1 to Grizzlies. The 20-year-old forward from Kelowna, B.C is in his 3rd season with the team and recorded 40 points last season including 13 goals. The Vernon Vipers host the Powell River Kings tonight starting at 6pm at Kal Tire Place.
