Vipers trade Vernon product

The Vernon Vipers have dealt forward Nick Cherkowski to the Wenatchee Wild.

The Vipers received future considerations for the 19-year-old Vernon native who is committed to the Merrimack Warriors for the 2020-21 season.

“Nick will get a great opportunity for an expanded role in Wenatchee,” said Vipers Head Coach and GM Jason McKee. “They have a great program there and he will have a chance to make an impact.”

Cherkowski was entering his second full season with the Snakes, after scoring two goals with 11 assists in 54 games last season, plus one goal in six playoff games during the team’s run to the BCHL final.
