Crews have managed to get a handle on the newest wildfire in the Kamloops Fire Centre.
The Semlin fire, 16 kilometres east of Cache Creek, is now classified as being held at 41 hectares.
According to the B.C. Wildfire Service, firefighting crews were able to keep the fire within the pre-existing boundaries of the Thompson River and the railway.
“Twenty-two wildfire personnel will remain on-site today to continue to patrol the fire,” a tweet from the B.C. Wildfire Service said.
