Car fire at Okanagan Landing Road deemed suspicious

An abandoned car on fire near Okanagan Landing road is being considered suspicious by investigators, according to Vernon Fire and Rescue Services.

Vernon Fire Crews responded to the fire in the 7000 block of Okanagan Landing Road at approximately 11:00 a.m. Wednesday.

Fire Chief David Lind said crews found an older vehicle engulfed in flames behind a house.

“The crews extinguished the fire quickly, no one was hurt, RCMP were on scene to investigate,” Lind said.
