Business Walks going Tuesday to gather information on the local economy

Local leaders will hit the streets to meet with business owners and managers and learn about the local economy next week.

Representatives from the City of Vernon, Community Futures North Okanagan, Greater Vernon Chamber of Commerce, Downtown Vernon Association, and Okanagan College will hold the annual Business Walks Tuesday.

The Business Walks, held during Small Business Week, will see the local representatives meet with business owners and managers for a five to ten minute conversation to gather feedback, learn about challenges and opportunities, and find ways to support local businesses.

The information gathered through the Business Walk will be shared with the city’s Economic Development Department and community partners to help inform future programs, resources and initiatives.
