UPDATE: Crash Closes Highway in Enderby

Traffic had to be detoured around Enderby for a couple hours today, after a crash.

Police say two vehicles collided head on on George Street, and the highway was shut down for the investigation and clean up.

Constable Kelly Brett says there was no injuries to the two drivers, and the highway has reopened.

A caller says the closure is due to an accident, believed to be a head-on collision.

RCMP have not issued any information as yet.

Traffic is being detoured around Enderby this hour, but why is not known.

Callers tell us vehicles are being re-routed on side streets around the city.

We have reached out to RCMP to try and get some details.

“I see police cars fire trucks and looks like an ambulance on main street by Knight Street on Highway 97,” says a person texting Beach Radio.
