Groups Benefit From Crime Prevention Grants
Money and assets seized from criminals by the government are being invested back into communities.
The Vernon Women’s Transition House Society gets $70,000 from the crime prevention and remediation grant program.
“This project will help bridge the gap in funding for staffing, training, program expenses and clinical supervision which will allow the Oak Centre to continue service delivery and increase their capacity in 2019-2020,” says a government news release.
The North Okanagan Restorative Justice Society will get $19,156 to advance and share a Victim-Centre Practice Project.
