Upgrades Planned For Trail; Will Lead to Closures

People who use BX Falls Trail will have to put-up with periodic closures  for trail upgrades.

The Regional District of North Okanagan says their contractor will be working on several upgrades throughout the year that will require closures for both the Tillicum Road and Star Road entrances, for safety reasons.

The work will include bridge replacements, additional steps in steeper  areas and general trail upgrades.

“We ask that trail users follow all notices for their own safety, and steer clear of the noted construction zones,” says Keith Pinkoski, Parks Manager.

RDNO is also advising residents working adjacent to creeks, streams and rivers to use extreme caution and safety measures.
