Kal Beach Pier Repair Gets Green Light
Work to repair the Rotary Pier at Kalamalka Lake in Coldstream is expected to begin in the next couple weeks.
The Regional District of North Okanagan has received the final permit from the province (Ministry of Forests, Lands, and Natural Resources) to allow the project to proceed.
Steve Burton from Burton Marine Pile Driving says the work will take about three weeks and their goal is to have the pier open to the public by early May.
High water levels in the summer of 2017 damaged the surface of the pier and the underwater supports, making it unsafe to access.
