Crews Busy With Smoke Calls

It was reported as a structure fire — but that’s not what it turned out to be.

The BX-Swan Lake Fire Department had a major call out to the incident in the 78 hundred block of Pleasant valley Road this afternoon, but when they got there, it turned out to be a legal backyard burn.

It was the second smoke sighting the volunteer department was called out to today.

The other was on East Vernon Road this morning.
