Body Found In Lake

RCMP are confirming the recovery of a body in Okanagan Lake in Kelowna.

“On April 4, 2019 just before 10 a.m., RCMP received a report of what appeared to be a person, floating face down in the Okanagan Lake near City Park,” says Cpl. Tania Carroll.

“Kelowna RCMP members attended, along with Emergency Health Services and the Kelowna Fire Department and confirmed that the body of an adult female was recovered. Unfortunately, the female could not be revived,” says Carroll.

Mounties say their investigation is in the early stages, but the death is not considered suspicious.
