Multi-vehicle Smashup Ends at Mall

Neighbours near the Vernon Square Mall remain in shock following Wednesday’s multi-vehicle smashup around 1 p.m.

Witness Kevin Topping says a white pickup driven by a man crashed into at least five vehicles in the Alexis Park neighbourhood as he careened around the streets, including three on 34a Street.

RCMP arrived in force by the Safeway parking lot where the damaged pickup finally stopped.

Topping says at least six police cars attended the scene which went from 40th Avenue to 34a Street and then to the mall.
