Council To Discuss Downtown Feedback

City of Vernon administration will be reviewing the recommendations made by a consulting firm on a meeting last month with businesses and service providers in the downtown area.

Key recommendations from the report by Urban Matters that was received by council Monday, include expanding understanding and sharing resources on programs, increasing enforcement presence, and more clean-up and washroom availability.

Mayor Victor Cumming says 68 businesses in the Business Improvement Area attended the session Feb. 6, and provided important feedback to help the City better understand and address their concerns.

“Council has directed Administration to review these suggestions and come up with recommendations on where the City might take action,” says Cumming.
