Update: Slide Site Closed Again

UPDATE

Okanagan Bench Row Road in Vernon has been closed again based on a report provided by a geotechnical engineer.

The City of Vernon says instability of the bank and the ongoing water saturation has the potential to impact the roadway and traffic with deposits of mud and debris.

City crews will continue to monitor the situation and will provide and update once the road has been reopened.

A small landslide that forced the temporary closure of Okanagan Bench Row Road in Vernon Wednesday night has been cleared by City crews.

The road is now open for traffic.

The slide and closure were first reported to media around 10:30 Wednesday night.
