Con-Women Steal Sentimental Item From Senior

A couple of female con-artists victimized a senior while she was parked in her car outside a Kelowna business.

Police say the woman engaged the senior in conversation in the 1800 block of Dilworth Drive Wednesday, offering her a gold chain

“According to the victim, she was seated in her vehicle when she was approached by two women who engaged her in conversation,” says Cpl. Jesse O’Donaghey. “The women con-artists, who effectively pulled at the senior’s heart strings, seemed to very well rehearsed and very skilled.

“During their interaction, one of the woman reached inside the victim’s vehicle offering her a gold chain. Although she declined the gift, the suspect placed the necklace around her neck. In the process it is believed that the suspect detached the victim’s real gold chain necklace before walking away,” says the corporal.
